Alfie circled it first and kept flicking the ears with his paw. It took him a minute to work out how food came out, then he pushed it into the corner and kept trying from different angles. Didn’t rush through his food like usual.
At first, Willow just watched it. Later that evening she started batting it under the table, stopping every few taps to sniff the openings. She didn’t use it nonstop, but she kept coming back in short bursts.
Mabel sniffed it for a while before giving it a single tap. Once a few bits dropped out, she settled into nudging it across the kitchen floor, stopping every so often to check where the food went. She walked off halfway through and came back later to finish.
Jasper nudged it around once, then lost interest. The next morning he went back to it on his own and worked it across the hallway rug until the food ran out. Seems to hold attention better when he’s not already hungry.
Rosie went straight for the tail and pushed it across the floor, pausing each time something dropped out. She didn’t empty it all at once and wandered off between attempts. It’s now part of her normal routine after breakfast.
